November was our biggest month of the year for Georgian wine activity in Asia for 2024. Shanghai hosted us for Skin-2-Skin 2024, as well as a grand Supra with one of the newest hotspots on the dining scene. Singapore didn’t miss out on the fun, with not one but TWO Supra’s at two of the city’s most progressive food and wine destinations - Artichoke and RVLT.

Skin 2 Skin

The highly anticipated Skin-2-Skin Orange Wine Symposium 2024 took place on November 11 in Shanghai, bringing together 140 wine industry professionals from around the world to explore the rich, complex, and evolving world of orange wines. This exclusive event featured 3 insightful panel discussions led by the world’s most famous orange winemakers, renowned international critics, along with Asia’s most respected sommeliers, and industry experts.

Tekuna X ASIA

Chef Tekuna is the godmother of Georgian cuisine! With 7 restaurants and a cocktail bar to her name in Georgia, she pushes the boundaries on Georgian and international cuisines. As such, she really has revolutionised the palates of Georgians. She loves Asian cuisine, with Singapore and Shanghai long her most desired destinations to visit and cook in.

SUPRA IN SINGAPORE

Singapore was treated to a Georgian food and wine extravaganza week in November

ARTICHOKE – 14 NOV: Two culinary powerhouses joined forces for an unforgettable gastronomic experience Renowned Georgian chef Tekuna Gachechiladze and celebrated Singaporean chef Bjorn Shen collaborated on a one-night-only dinner, showcasing the bold and vibrant flavors of Georgian cuisine with a contemporary twist. Both Chefs have headed the hit show Masterchef in Georgia and Singapore, and are considered culinary rebels in their respective cuisines. The restaurant was full for a wonderful evening, including all known members of the Georgian community joining the event.

RVLT – 16 NOV: As ground zero for Georgian wine in Singapore and the city’s OG destination for natural wine and alternative wine regions, RVLT was the perfect place for Chef Tekuna’s final collaboration in Asia – a fun Georgian food and wine party for industry members and young Singaporean wine lovers. Chef Sunny Leong and his team embraced the Georgian menu for the evening, and thoroughly enjoyed learning the fundamentals of Georgian cooking from Tekuna, with plans to incorporate Georgian flavours in upcoming tribute menus.

SUPRA IN SHANGHAI

CHARCOAL – 10 NOV: A landmark, cutting edge dining destination in Beijing, Charcoal’s latest outpost in Shanghai boasts one of the city’s most premium and well-equipped kitches, focusing on fire-cooking. Chef Hansen Chen and Chef Tekuna teamed up to create a modern Supra for Asia’s wine VIPs, as well as food and wine connoisseurs of Shanghai.
